Product description

The ALFA FR COAT A is a white, single-component ablative paint used for thin coatings. It is supplied in liquid form in buckets and is applied to mineral wool filling a partition or insulating a system.

The ALFA FR BOARD A is a pre-painted board made of mineral wool with 60 mm thickness, one-sided coated with ALFA FR COAT A paint, with a minimum dry film thickness of 1.0 mm. The ALFA FR COAT A protects metal pipe penetrations through fire-resistant partitions and, in combination with ALFA FR COAT I, cables, cable bundles, and cable trays.

Application

ALFA FR COAT A paint and ALFA FR BOARD A are designed for fire protection of metal pipe penetrations in walls and ceilings and as protection of uninsulated metal pipes and cable penetrations in combination with ALFA FR COAT I intumescent paint.

Flexible walls

The wall should be at least 125 mm thickness (constructed with a minimum of two gypsum boards lining both sides).

Rigid walls

The wall should be at least 150 mm thickness (made of concrete or masonry units with a density of not less than 600 kg/m³).

Rigid floor

The floor should be at least 150 mm thickness (made of concrete, for example: reinforced, cellular concrete, with a density of not less than 1700 kg/m³).
