Fire rated ablative board (Penetration seals)

Product description

The ALFA FR BOARD A product is a pre-painted board made of mineral wool, coated on one side with ALFA FR COAT A ablative fire protection coating.

This fire-resistant board is useful when a large penetration seal needs to be filled. The ALFA FR BOARD A can be easily cut to the desired shape using a sharp tool. Each board is 60 mm thick and is factory-painted on one side. Install according to the guidelines in the Technical Data Sheet. Use ALFA FR MASTIC to seal the penetration edges and installation empty spaces.

Application

The ALFA FR COAT A paint and ALFA FR BOARD A are designed for the fire protection of metal pipe penetrations in walls and floors, as well as for the protection of uninsulated metal pipes and cable penetrations when used in combination with ALFA FR COAT I intumescent paint.

Flexible wall

The wall should be at least 125 mm thickness (with a minimum of two gypsum boards lining both sides).

Rigid wall

The wall should be at least 125 mm thickness (made of concrete or masonry units with a density of not less than 600 kg/m³).

Rigid floor

The floor should be at least 150 mm thickness (made of concrete, reinforced concrete, cellular concrete, with a density of not less than 1700 kg/m³).
