Product description
The INSU ROPE fire-resistant expansion joint cord is made of mineral fibers with a glass yarn braid. The non-flammable material structure creates a tight barrier, ensuring the partition maintains its integrity and insulation up to EI 240.
Product INSU ROPE is designed to maintain or restore the fire resistance of separating building elements when they are interrupted or separated by joints. The maximum joint width is 150 mm. The maximum permissible degree of transverse expansion of the cord is 20%.

Application
The INSU ROPE is used to seal horizontal and vertical linear joints (structural joints being step joints and butt linear joints) where shear stresses may or may not occur between fire-rated rigid walls and separating floors.
Rigid wallsThe wall should be at least 150 mm thick (should be made of concrete or masonry units with a density of not less than 700 kg/m3).
Rigid floorThe floor should be at least 150 mm thick (should be made of concrete, reinforced concrete, cellular concrete, with a density of not less than 700 kg/m3).
Transport and storage
Transport and store in a dry and cool place at + 5°C to + 35°C.
Packaging: plastic bags, stacked on 1100 x 1100 mm or 1100 x 2100 mm pallets.
Other packaging of the product is possible on request.
