Product description

The INTU FR BRICK product is a polyurethane-based intumescent block for fire protection. In the event of a fire, it expands to form a barrier that prevents the spread of flames and smoke, maintaining the partition’s integrity and insulation for up to EI 120.

The polyurethane-based intumescent block INTU FR BRICK is recommended for large penetration seals of cable or mixed penetrations. The blocks should be laid in layers (similar to mansonry—with vertical offset joints staggered) so that they fit into the opening (installation should be performed according to the Technical Data Sheet). Near service area, INTU FR BRICK should be cut to the required size, and any remaining gaps filled with INTU FR FOAM 2K. Both products can be used interchangeably to ensure the proper shape of the fire penetration.

Application

The INTU FR BRICK fire protection block is designed to protect installation penetrations, cables (and cable supporting structures), cable bundles, metal pipes, plastic pipes, Tubolit®Split copper pipe bundles. The polyurethane-based intumescent block INTU FR BRICK is used for temporary or permanent fire resistance of flexible walls, rigid walls and rigid floors.

To increase the fire resistance of cables to EI 120, it may be necessary to use INTU FR BANDAGE. This bandage, as a complementary product to INTU FR BRICK and INTU FR FOAM 2K, is used for wrapping cables when it is needed.

Flexible walls

The wall should be at least 94 mm thickness (made with a facing of at least two gypsum boards on both sides).

Rigid walls

The wall should be at least 100 mm thickness (made of concrete or masonry elements with a density of not less than 450 kg/m³).

Rigid floor

The floor should be at least 150 mm thickness (made of concrete, reinforced concrete, cellular concrete, with a density of not less than 450 kg/m³).
