Fire protection coating for wood

Product description

PROTEGA UPGRADE is an opaque, water-soluble intumescent paint designed for fire protection coatings on pre-coated wooden or gypsum substrates. When exposed to fire, the coating foams, suppressing flames and effectively blocking heat transfer to the protected surface. If the surface must be washable or the ambient humidity exceeds 75%, the PROTEGA UPGRADE intumescent layer should be protected with a top coat of PROTEGA TOPCOAT W.

Application

Used indoors on raw wood and wood-based substrates (with a density ≥ 338 kg/m³), such as interior walls, wooden ceilings, and ceilings with a minimum element thickness of 8 mm, or on non-combustible substrates such as gypsum with a minimum thickness of 6 mm, to achieve fire reaction class B-s1,d0.

Transport and storage

Transport and store (in original, unopened packaging) in a safe, dry place. Shelf life: 12 months after opening the package.
