INTU FR WRAP fire protection wraps are made from a graphite-based intumescent material that expands when exposed to high temperatures. In the event of a fire, they swell to form a barrier that prevents the spread of flames and smoke, maintaining the partition’s up to EI 240.

The INTU FR WRAP is supplied as a ready to use product. The wrap contains from 1 to 8 layers of 2.0 mm thick intumescent insert. The appropriate number of layers of intumescent insert – depending on the diameter of the protected pipe (wrap size) – is placed in a red PE foil. The width of the wrap (insert) is 60 or 100 mm. INTU FR WRAP tape should be wrapped around the protected pipe, cutting them to the required length (equal to or greater than the pipe’s outer circumference) if necessary, and then inserted into the opening inside the partition.

Application

INTU FR WRAP clamp is used for fire protection of plastic, composite, and multilayer composite pipes passing through fire-separating partitions, either individually or in bundles, as well as combustible and non-combustible pipes with insulation.

Flexible walls

The wall should be at least 100 mm thick. It should be constructed with a minimum of two plasterboards lining both sides.

Rigid walls

The wall should be at least 100 mm thick. It should be made of concrete or masonry units with a density of not less than 450 kg/m3.

Rigid floor

The floor should be at least 150 mm thick. It should be made of concrete, reinforced concrete, cellular concrete, with a density of not less than 550 kg/m3.

Transport and storage

Transport and store in a dry and cool place
at a temperature of + 5°C to + 35°C.
