Product description

ALFA FR COAT I is an intumescent paint designed to provide fire protection for building elements. When exposed to high temperatures, the coating expands to form a protective char layer on the surface, maintaining the partition’s integrity and insulation for up to EI 240.

Application

ALFA FR COAT I paint is designed for the fire protection of metal pipes and cables in walls and ceilings.

Prone walls

The wall should be at least 125 mm thick. It should be constructed with a minimum of two gypsum boards lining both sides.

Rigid walls

The wall should be at least 150 mm thick. It should be made of concrete, reinforced concrete, cellular concrete, solid hollow or grid brick, with a density of not less than 600 kg/m3.

Rigid ceiling

The ceiling should be at least 150 mm thick. It should be made of concrete or reinforced concrete with a density of not less than 1700 kg/m3.

Transport and storage

Transport and store (in original and unopened packaging) in a safe, dry place at +5°C to +35°C.
Shelf life: 12 months from date of manufacture.
